He is a Beijing-based independent documentary director and producer. He graduated from Communication University of China (School of Television & Film Art) in 2007. From 2008 to 2011, Wang Jiuliang completed Beijing Besieged by Waste, a series of photographic works and an eponymous documentary. From 2012 to 2016, he completed the documentary Plastic China. In 2019, he was commissioned by ART FOR THE WORLD to participate in the film anthology Interdependence. From 2019 to 2023, he finished the documentary Seagull(coming soon). Since 2022, he has been working on his latest documentary Blue Desert.
