The documentary film "Ivan's Endeavour" tells the story of the world's first primatology center in Abkhazia. The film also explores the reasons behind the creation of this facility. It reveals how, starting with Academician Mechnikov'swork, medical scientists worldwide concluded that medicine as a science could not progress further without using primates as human models. It also shows how many diseases humanity has overcome thanks to these primates.

Ivan Tverdovsky (Russia)
Film director, screenwriter and producer. Born on February 26, 1961 in Shchyolkovo. Graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) in 1984. Began his cinematography career in 1988 as a video engineer at "Videofilm" corporation where he mastered film editing. In 1994 became chief editing director at RCSDF. Since 1996 has directed several documentary and television films. As producer and director, he has created over 30 documentary and TV projects, as well as a feature film in 2008. Award-winner at national and international film festivals.
