After traveling three hundred kilometers from the Lower Ob region of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, three brothers from the Wenengo clan, the people of the northern Khanty, stopped for the summer in the mountains of the Polar Urals. Each brother has his own family and a traditional home, a plague, and everyone does their job: men tend a herd of several thousand deer in cold, northwind-blown pastures, women take care of children, and children learn to be reindeer herders. The film is about the harsh living conditions in the Far North and about a deep love for nature and life.
