Ivan Sosnin (Russia)
Ivan Sosnin was born on November 12, 1990, in the town of Kirovgrad, Sverdlovsk Oblast. During his teenage years and until the age of 18, he lived and studied in the Nevyansk. Later, he enrolled in the Metallurgical Faculty at USTU-UPI (now Ural Federal University).
Sosnin began his career in the industry by shooting commercials and music videos for a creative agency, where he worked during his student years. He later transitioned to filmmaking, and by 2025, his filmography included 18 short films, three feature films, and a TV series.
His films have been screened at major international film festivals, including:
• Cinequest Film Festival
• Moscow International Film Festival
• Vancouver International Film Festival
• FilmFestival Cottbus
• Shanghai International Film Festival
and many others.
In 2020, his short film «Interview» won the Golden Eagle Award, and in 2025, Sosnin received the award for the second time for another short film, «30 Seconds».
