The team of the project "Man and Boat" went to Chukotka to the
Eskimos to record the construction of a unique boat - a baidara made of walrus skin. It was believed that the technology of building a cargo baidara was lost. But our film
crew managed to find hunters who still remember the skills of their ancestors. And
viewers have a unique opportunity to see all the stages of the birth of a boat that was
built thousands of years ago. The process of making a vessel is incredibly complex.
To make just one such boat, months of preparation are needed. And that`s not all.
Builders will have to risk their lives on the hunt, reckon with changing weather. And
even rely on higher powers. An incredible journey awaits you, after which you will
definitely look at even an ordinary boat with completely different eyes.
