When Fish Begin to Crawl is an immersive film triptych with a symphonic soundtrack. Presented purely in a language of music and images it tells a universal story about the deep relationship between humanity, nature, and time. From the formation of the galaxies to the mysterious moment when microscopic life emerged on the planet, the film takes us on an impressionistic journey from deep time through to the explosion of biodiversity and the present day eco emergencies. When Fish Begin to Crawl shows us that everything in nature is interconnected and interdependent, from the microscopic to the macroscopic. 65 minutes in length, Jim Sutherlands impressionistic score is performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
