The K. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, Kaluga
The Fulldome show invites us to travel through space and time, getting acquainted with the astronomical views of ancient people. In different parts of our planet, people had common and unique life needs. Navigating by the starry sky helped them to follow the sea routes, keep a schedule of agricultural work, measure months and years. The origin of some constellations is so strange for us today, however they appeared naturally and explainably. To realize it, just try to see the world through the eyes of a person who didn’t understand a nature of stars. The characters who lived in a primitive tribe, in the legendary Inca city of Machu Picchu, in the Arabian desert and on the islands of the Aegean Sea, in the Canadian forests and in sunny Hawaii will tell us about their constellations.
