South Korea, 2025 | 3 min Director: Yonghee Kim 12+ Competition Animation
This work originated from a draft shaped by a sense of disillusionment with the beautiful and heartwarming narratives often found in animation, as well as the personal struggles of living as a vegetarian. It was created with the intention of pursuing a visual direction stripped of subjectivity — deliberately uncomfortable and unapologetically unfriendly. The title, HUMANISM, was chosen to reflect and challenge the deeply human-centered values the word implies. Through this work, I aim to raise the question: Are humans truly and inherently valuable above all else?
